Pick a table, 1v1 or Group. Every player in it gets the identical seeded sky: the same starting board, the same stars in every column and the same two-minute clock. Swap stars to make matches and clear twenty stars from every column to clear the sky. Standings are settled once everyone has played.
How tournaments runYes. Each column drops its stars in a fixed order set by the tournament seed, never by your moves, and the next three in every column are always on screen. Nothing in a session is random once the sky is set, so if you lose, you lost to a better plan, not a better drop.
How the sky is generatedNo. Every sky is checked by a solver, which must clear it in twenty moves or fewer before it enters the pool. You can still strand a column through your own play, and that is the skill.
The sky poolEvery star you clear is 10 points, and cascades pay double, then four times. Stamping the season's constellation adds 500. Clear the sky for a 3,000 point bonus plus 25 points for every second left on the clock. Everyone who clears the sky ranks above everyone who does not.
Scoring and rankingZodix is a skill contest, not a game of chance. Every player faces the same sky and the result turns on how well you play it. Cash tournaments run in select US states only, and free acorn play is available in every US state.*
